This weekend we cheered on our Toronto Argonauts as we took on the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Although we didn’t walk away with the win on Saturday night (30-29 final score – ouch!!!), we still walked away feeling great.
It was a huge pleasure this weekend to have been a part of what put an extra big smile on the faces of a few very deserving children. We’re sending a huge thank you to the team at The Sick Kids Foundation as well as to the team and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment for helping to make this weekend one to remember for these families.
It’s always a great time when the room is blessed with the energy and charisma of one of the most famous former Toronto Argos players of all time, Michael “Pinball” Clemons. We were fortunate to have ‘Pinball’ spend some time with the kids and the families for some photos and to sign some autographs.
The point of the evening was to provide the Sick Kids Ambassadors that includes existing as well as past patients with an opportunity to take in an exciting game while enjoying some good times and good food.
“I had a great time watching my first CFL game, having dinner and the candy bar with my friends… It was really a fun Saturday night!”
– Sick Kids Ambassador
An exciting autograph and picture session by Mike ‘Pinball’ Clemons, as well as by James Wilder Jr. certainly added to the evening making it a special one to remember.
